FOGARY Gets Rave Review

Thanks to FOGBEES Gary Williams for leading a fun filled, invigorating spin session at the Y last night. We were missing the familiar faces of several of you who usually participate. You're absence was noted ....... and you WERE talked about !

Let's support one another and especially Gary as we seek to maintain our legs and waistlines ( mine hasn't changed a bit in 4000 miles of riding ) through the dark , cold , rainy days of winter. Spring rides will beckon us sooner than we might think.

See ya next Thursday @ the Y for our next weekly FOGARY. And remember, if you take the GARY out of the FOGARY you just got fat and old. Let's support him !

Thanks Phil for the kind words. We had a great one hour tough spin last night and I encourage the Fogbees to participate. We had a "non" fogbee spinning and he said it was a blast. See you at the Y next Thursday at 6:30 pm. gary

Let’s call a spade a spade. Spin class is BORING and now that the Spin Instructors have decided amongst themselves that spinners must peddle in absurd silence I have decided to do my best to give them what they want - the total silence of an empty room.

FOG-GARY is what spin should be about – having a good time while keeping in shape. Let's FILL THE FOGGARY ROOM. Maybe it will send a message.

We were not silent yesterday in spin class as a mater of fact Phil was encouraging conversation. All though I did most of the talking and he mostly nodded head.

I am feeling my college days of protesting. We are Americans, we are Y members, we have freedom of speech. Let's make some noise!!

You know there is Sumner Station!! We could put our money where it counts!!

You could drive to Springfield. The folks in my spin class never shut up! Not quite as much fun as the Fogbees; but if you've got to be stuck inside, might as well make it a party.

Christy - precisely!

There are several Lites who are members of Sumner Station, we would love to see more of you join us. Rhonda and I like SS much better than the Y. The membership there is capped (don't know if they have reached the cap yet or not) and I have never had to wait to use any of the equipment. It might be fun to see if we could get a Fogbee spin going at SS in addition to the one at the Y.

Actually we need a fact check. I just went to Richard's class. Plenty of music and people talking with each other.

He said all the spin classes have music.

Fogbee group is more fun, but is probably because we know each other. On the other hand there ARE more good looking spinners in the regular classes :)

Rosemary and I took a tour of Sumner Station yesterday. Impressive , peaceful and not crowded. Missed the sauna though. With Rose's back issues, we've considered the therapeutic aspect at SS Fitness as a plus.

Well just to set the record straight last Tuesday at Richards spin class we (myself, phil and Mike) were scolded for talking during the spin by several non Fogbee spinners and Richard also told us that the instructors "voted" not to have chatter by the spinners during the spin. That's the facts. Also, the thursday spin at 6:30 pm by the Fogbees has been going on for almost a year and I doubt I'll move bc of what happened Tuesday but I will go by and visit SS.
I'm with Tom and the YMCA fogbees need to come out in force of Tuesday and Thursday and show our spirit.

Sorry,

I reread the comments. I thought you were talking about no music.
