New Group

Hey for anyone who has a really hard time making it to the Fogbee afternoon rides in Hendersonville, cause they are over here in White House (like me) I am starting a weekday ride group over here. I have a FaceBook group for it. It's called "White House Cyclist" if you want to search it and join to watch for posts and scheduled rides. Don't worry Fogbees, I still will come ride with you on some weekends and on the Big Out of the way rides... Also Doug if you want I will take over the Silver Comet ride if you want me to? Just let me know and I'll head it up. My schedule is just too difficult to make it into H'ville during the weekdays to ride, so I'm making a group over here. I'll still try to come have a beer with ya every once in a while!!

Scott, having a weekday group riding in White House sounds like a good idea. In 2009 we had several weekday groups which matched better everyone's varying schedules and capabilities. You would probably get more participation if you establish a regular time and day for your ride. Also, if you could set up your plans on a Blog (rather than Facebook), we could link it to this Blog, like we do for the Sumner Riders (see Right Side bar for Cycling Blogs). Making it much easier for people see your latest plans.

Tom: I just started it last night, but you are right, I am gonna start a blog so I can help keep everyone informed between the different groups that I ride with. I also am just in the networking stages, and once I get that established I'm gonna poll to see what everyones schedule is and where they live before I set a definite time and place. Most likely though the meeting place will either be Al's Food store or Kroger and the time will probably be somewhere between 5-5:30. Thank You for letting me link with the Fogbees, so I can be more apart of the Big out of town rides like the Silver Comet or French Lick. If I have time tonight I will send you the blog link so we can get that posted before the time change next week.
