Overnight ride to Red Boiling Springs. Update

From time to time it is mentioned that we have no Fogbee overnight rides this year.  Part of this is due to the number of other scheduled rides now available and the difficulty of getting a non conflicting week. In way, that is a good thing because it indicates how popular cycling has become.  The weekend of July 23-24 appears to be conflict free. The plan would be to Leave Saturday morning, ride 60 miles to Red Boiling Springs and  stay at the Armour Hotel,$85 to $130 per couple including breakfast.  The Armour House does not routinely serve supper but will for groups of 6 or more for $14/pp.  The nearby Thomas House is having a dinner theater play that night. It usually cost $25/pp including meal. If anyone is interested in that, I can check for sure.
Next day ride back a different route but still about 60 miles. Links to past rides can be found here.

Bruce

Update July 5, 2011

As of today there are 12 people participating in the ride. The list can be found here.
Participants
Note that only ten are listed. Someone else told me they were going on last Saturday's ride but I forget who so please post here.
You can view rooms at Armours Hotel and call 615-699-2180 for reservations. Please tell them you are a Fogbee and if you plan to eat supper there.  They need a head count.
Routes are below. Day two needs to have a couple of roads checked, which I will do one our way to Somerset, KY this weekend. More details of times and cue sheets will be posted next week.

Roger, Gary, Phil,
All good so far. Plan on firming plans about July. The Armour needs a head count for the evening meal.

Excellent! I've asked Debbie of Armour's to keep tabs on who is planning supper there. The default is supper at 6:00 pm at Armour's.

Also, I have neglected to mention (among other things) the option to drive and park at Hartsville to do about 34 miles of the prettiest part of the ride. Arrangements can also be made to pick up and deliver your car from Hartsville to Red Boiling Springs or from RBS back to Hendersonville is needed. So you have options of 1 or 2 60 mile days and 1 or 2 34 mile days. I had not considered it but we can probably have pooped rider sag if there is demand. All the documented participants will be getting an email with more specifics and some questions about preferences by this weekend. It will also be posted here but don't trust everyone to keep reading this post.
