Bike Walk Nashville Cranksgiving Ride November 23, 10:30 am

Walk Bike Nashville and Bike Walk Tennessee are sponsoring a non T-shirt ride the Saturday before Thanksgiving.  No entry fee and no tee shirt, just the joy of cycling with new folks in a new place and an opportunity to buy food for a good cause. Details are at this link.    Facebook page is here.
Beer will be available afterwards. Please post if you are likely so they can know how many to expect and don't run out of beer.
No need for panniers. There will be a vehicle to accept donations at each grocery store. Save your receipts.

A food drive by bike. Join Walk/Bike Nashville in collecting food for Community Food Advocates, a local non-profit. The event will consist of two rides:

• Nashville Slow Ride Short Haul: Group ride for riders of all abilities. Riders will congregate at Halcyon Bike Shop and then ride to 3 grocery stores to collect food before returning to Halcyon. At each grocery store, The Turnip Truck West, Turnip Truck East, and the downtown HG Hills, a Walk/Bike Staff member will be on-hand to collect food donations and provide mechanical assistance as needed. http://goo.gl/maps/khOab

• Music City Cycling Long Haul: Competitive race/checkpoint event. Riders will earn points for speed, number of grocery stores visited, and total amount of food collected. Prizes will be available for top point earners.

Hot Cocoa will be served along the way at Eastside Cycles.

After the event there'll be a gathering with refreshments at Halcyon Bike Shop
