Greenway Ride

The first Nashville Greenway Ride was in 2008 shortly after  Two Rivers section opened.  It became an annual event.   Here is that history.

First Greenway Ride 2008

. . This FOGBEE Original tour peddles on the best greenway system in Tennessee: Metro-Center, Downtown GW, Shelby-Bottoms, Two Rivers, and Stones River for a total of 40-miles round-trip.
. . We visit Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge, Titans Stadium, Bike/Ped Bridge over the Cumberland River, Symphony Place, CM Hall of Fame, and Percy Priest Dam.
. . The Downtown Cumberland River Greenway is complete from the end of MetroCenter Greenway and runs all the way to the Shelby Street Bridge (along Cement Plant Rd and 1st Ave North). We will take this BRAND NEW greenway. FYI: It has a spur to Morgan Park just north of BSCMSP.
. . As our annual inaugural LITE ride we encourage new cyclists or family members to participate in a FLAT excursion on the scenic "out & back" portion (only 27 miles RT - pickup at Titans Stadium). This section can be done with hybrid-bikes although a road-bike is recommended.

Unfortunately THREE flat tires
indicate Greenway has a problem
on one of its cement over-passes
Problem has since been fixed.

Tom said, "I meant to tell
you about that bad over-pass
but you guys got too far
ahead of me."
