Now I know this not to be a "fishing" story, because my speedometer was showing 48 mph when he blew past me. I came to my senses and squeezed harder on those brakes. But the Cannonball, nothing was going to stop him from setting a Ford Branch record.

Obviously riding a 3-speed Murray down Lacon Mountain near Hartsell, AL. As a third grader in the region I leaned a slightly different more colorful version.
