eBike Law Information Added to FOGBEE Website

Last year, I wrote a magazine article about the eBike, featuring Carey Rogers (click here). Those of you who know Carey, know he is the biker's biker.  Co-founder Bike/Walk Tennessee, past VP of Walk/Bike Nashville, co-founder of Nashville Slow Riders, and co-founder of new Bike PAC Safe Streets Campaign..  Carey owns and rides two eBikes
.

This year one of the six co-founders of the FOGBEE bike club, Brett Dauer, crossed over to the dark side.  He isn't alone. An eBike is definitely on the radar for several more senior members of the FOGBEES.  It is really hard to pass up having EVERY hill being a downhill ride.  One of the potential cross-overs shared this article, which nearly "seals the deal," Study finds that e-bike riders get as much exercise as riders of regular bikes .

To help everyone get ready for what appears to be imminent, we have added eBike LAW information on the FOGBEE website (see this link and Bike Law page.) eBikes operate under laws different than those for a pedal bike and can vary significantly by State.  Best to educate yourself before taking the plunge.  Get ready for the Electric Turtles.
