FIRST SPRING TOUR

Twenty years ago, we (Dave, Tom, and Bruce) wore Biker's Choice jerseys. This picture was taken in May 2007 on our way to the Montgomery Bell State Park.     It became FOGBEES' first spring tour. Inviting our non-biking spouses to meet and join us at the lodge became a FOGBEE tradition.

    This was Tom's first bike tour. Bruce and Dave were seasoned frequent travelers.

    The ride started in Hendersonville and they rode to Springfield where they camped at a motel and met Guy Goggins. From here, the route led to Montgomery Bell. Dave Irvine (aka DTI) who normally traveled with them got them discount rooms in the Park. He was a employed with TDEC. He was unable to join them but he drove his truck and met them at the Park.

     DTI met Tom as he drove into the Park. He and bike were lying on the grass. He was exhausted from one of Guy's "short cuts." 

     As DTI approached, he stopped to introduced himself to the prostrated Tom. 

     He said, "You must be Tom. Do you need a ride?"
