Nashville will host a Ride of Silence ride starting from Centennial Park in Nashville on Wednesday, May 20. The ride will depart Centennial Park at 7:00 PM CST. Join other Nashville cyclists in this silent slow-paced ride (max. 12 mph) in honor of those who have been injured or killed while bicycling on public roadways. Visit http://www.rideofsilence.org/ to learn more about this world wide endeavor. Why does this ride exist?
- To HONOR those who have been injured or killed.
- To RAISE AWARENESS that we are here.
- To ask that we all SHARE THE ROAD.

I plan to join this Ride (in uniform) and will carry the bike of two to three others who wish to join me. Please POST.
A couple months ago David Meeks a strong advocate for Cycling in Chattanooga was killed while riding his bike to his Bike shop. NO CHARGES were filed against the trucker that killed him. It's time to be seen.
I would love to do this ride, but I won't be off work until 8:00pm.
I don't know what it would entail, but I think we should look into organizing one of these rides here in Hendersonville (next year)-- for the same reasons. Anybody else have any thoughts on this?
Tommy
A couple of months ago I had talked with David Hardin about doing a Ride of Silence in Hendersonville since the H'ville Greenway Committee has always done something for National Bike Month. These events take help of more than a couple of us. With the relocation of the Bike Shop, bad economy/jobs issue the people I used to be able to count on have had minds on other topics. It would be nice to know how many FOGBEES are willing to participate (i.e. help) in Civic Activities. Bob has been trying to put something together with local charities.
I'll join you. I plan to ride from home.
I'll be there.
Tom,
Such a nice day I'm considering riding from Hendersonville to Centennial Park. Would you be able to fetch me back? I've been looking for an excuse and opportunity to test the White Bridge Road option again.
Bruce
Oops, that wold be the Brick Church Pike option. Fellow sufferers welcome.
Bruce
Bruce, I'll bring you home.
