More Progress for Tennessee Bicyclists
Hey Frank (Bowyers), Remember back in the days of the Hendersonville Greenway Committee and you bitched to me about the bicycle stuff being removed from the Driver’s License manual. Well, I took the problem to the MPO and TDOT and kept after it. We got a promise last year that it was going back on the manual. It’s done! See below.

Race Day Volunteers
Most of you know that I started racing last year and the team I am now on hosts a race each year that starts the season. We could not do this with out volunteers. That's why I am posting this. We need volunteers and I know how awesome you all are so I wanted to ask if any of you would be willing to volunteer for us. We will need folks to help with registration, drive lead vehicles, set up, tear down, corner marshall, etc. The date of Hell of the South is April 2nd. If you have any desire to help, please let me know an I will give you more details.

TDOT Design Meeting Rescheduled
TDOT will conduct a design public meeting on Thursday, February 24, 2011 in the small auditorium of Springfield High School, 5240 Hwy 76 East, Springfield, TN to discuss SR-65 (U.S. 431) from Old Highway 431 to Walling Road in Robertson County as shown on the general location map.
The meeting will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. during which time there will be a presentation and question and answer session. The public is invited to ask questions and make comments during the meeting. Representatives from TDOT will be present to answer questions on any aspect of the project. The preliminary plans will be displayed and the public is invited to review the displays anytime within the scheduled two hours.

Kerry Roberts Gets Republican Nod for Diane Black Seat
Kerry Roberts of Springfield, a CPA, owner of a consulting company and several bicycle shops in Nashville, and a favorite of many FOGBEES won the Republican vote for the State Senate seat vacated by Diane Black He won by wide margins in Robertson County and ran a strong third in Sumner. The 18th District seat covers all of Robertson and all but one precinct in Sumner. Unofficial results from the Tennessee Department of State showed Roberts with 2,331 votes, to Slater’s 1,709 and Bondurant’s 1,572.

If you would like help training for one of the events please post and someone will be glad to work with you at the YMCA or the Gallatin Civic Center.
We had 7 people do this event last year and many of us were unsure of our abilities but we trained and overcame our uncertainties.
