Hi fellow fogbees,
My name is Yik Yang. I rode with you a few times in the past. One year ago, I had a serious cycling accident on long hollow pike. Some of you called me and even visited me, and I would like to express my appreciation to you. Thank you for your love and care. After the accident, I was flew to the ICU. After a few days in the ICU, I was transferred to the rehab hospital. I stayed in the hospital for about 2 weeks. After that, I rested at home for about 2 months before I went back to work. It was really a miracle that I am alive and working. When I was admitted into the ICU, the doctors said that I probably will not survive, since I had serious head injuries. After I survived, the doctor said that I will never be an engineer again, since I was injuried on the left side of my brain (logical side). Now, I have lived another year (hopefully, many more years to come), and I am still doing fine as an engineer. I am totally recovered. Thank God!

Yik, thank you for sharing the miraculous healing you've experienced since I saw you last ( you were riding from Sam's parking lot headed home ). May God continue to bless you and your family as you move to a new home. May your spirit remain unvanquished. May your recovery serve as an ongoing witness to God's hand upon your life. Once you've ridden with the FOGBEES, you are forever a FOGBEE !
Sincerely,

Thank God you have had a full recovery. As far as cycling, there are many things in life that have risks, but while your alive, do the things that you like.
Best of Luck in CO, If it were me, I would be riding!
Yik,
I never met you but you had a profound influence on me and several other Fogbees who now sport all manner of rear blinking red lights, reflective ankle bands, and Road ID's.
It is great that you have recovered. Your wife's reluctance to have you back on a bicycle is understandable. My wife allowed me out only after confirming my life insurace policy.
Cycling is actually relatively safe compared to other Colorado activites like rock climbing and cross country skiing.
