Station Camp Cleanup - DATE MOVED

We have gotten really excited for our second annual Community Cleanup on Station Camp Creek.  We’ve decided to go ahead and push it back to Saturday March 24th to give us more planning time and allow for more people to get involved. We had a great time last year, and the huge piles of debris were pretty impressive. It was quite therapeutic to see that area recover from the aftermath of the flood back in May of 2010.

I believe that this Greenway and the Douglass-Clark house will become the heart of this community, connecting the Station Camp Schools and the surrounding neighborhoods and businesses. We are so fortunate to live and work in such a beautiful area, and it is only getting better. Taking a walk or run or riding a bike doesn’t just increase our cardiovascular health, being outdoors does something for our overall health, mentally, physically, and spiritually and the health of the community as a whole. Let’s keep it looking nice and clean and prepare the way for more connected and active community in the future.
We will plan on meeting at 9 AM at the Station Camp High School parking lot on Saturday, March 24th.  Sumner County will be bringing the supplies, and the City will pick up the trash piles the following Monday. All you need to bring is yourself.
Thank you in advance for helping us. Your participation is greatly appreciated. I will be posting information and updates on the cleanup on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/longhollowgardensandnursery
Feel free to call or email me with any questions or suggestions. Please let me know if you’re interested in participating.

Thank you, Amy Young Scott
