Introducing the "NASHVILLE RUMBLE BEEZ"
As many know I'm an avid hockey player. This April I will be taking a Nashville team to play in the annual Tampa Florida Over 50 Nationals Ice Hockey Tournament that I have played in for the last 6 years. With the blessings of the "Godfather" of the Fogbees I created the team Jersey for our hockey team. What do you think? There is also a white Jersey. Several Fogbees have already asked if they could buy one! (this is possible and the price would be reasonable but I really had not thought about it until I was asked about it) I love the look and can't wait to see the whole team in the Jerseys. I also think these colors would be great for an alternative bike jersey for the Fogbees. :)

I just wanted to touch base before the cleanup this Saturday. The forecast looks ok, not great; so be sure to check our Facebook page in case of a wash out. Click Here for Blog Thread
I have attached waiver forms from the County and City. If kids could get their parents to sign ahead of time that would be great.
Please let me know tentative numbers on your groups so we can make sure to have plenty of supplies. We've had lots of interest this year. Thank you all for getting the word out and of course your participation. Looking forward to it.

The swim takes place in the newly resurfaced first olympic size outdoor pool in the Nashville area, more than 30 years old! Silver Comet Spring Ride - Comments Please
We are trying to pull off an out of town ride down the Chief Ladiga and Silver Comet Trail. The tentative date is May 5. We would travel to the Jackson or Anniston Alabama area on Friday the 4th and stay overnight. We will plan Ride Drops to vary the mileage.
The big Kahuna (Full Ladiga and Comet) would range in the 90 - 95 mile range, an all day affair. If you want to do just the Silver Comet 62 Miles, we would arrange a drop off at the Alabama/Georgia Border where you can go back a mile to the border then ride the comet. The short ride would be in the 40 to 45 mile from the lunch stop. See Bruces comment as that is a race weekend in Alabama. We can work around this by starting in Atlanta and riding out. We can arrange out and backs or I know I can get a couple drivers to pick us up along the trail varying the mileage. We can limit it to just the Comet and not get into the race mess. Just different logistics.
45 miles of the Comet are reasonably flat while there are hills where it goes off the railbed. I have not rident the Chief. In any event we would take our time and have a lunch stop at one of the towns along the trail, ending up in the Atlanta area at a hotel near the trail. As always we will try to plan daytime activities for the non riding spouses/significant others.
Please comment 1.) If you are interested in riding 2.) If so how many miles 3.) If your spouse or significant other will be joining to ride or for other activities.

Say It's not SO!
In my never ending quest to keep the "Ole" FogBees informed how OLD we are I sadly note the passing of ROBERT SHERMAN. Who is Mr. Sherman you ask? Just one of the greatest songwriters of the FogBee era. From the most played song in the world titled "It's a small world after all", to songs from the Disney movie, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and "The Jungle Book", Mr. Sherman was a master lyricist. BUT my favorite song of his was this-(please watch and enjoy)..( just press the you tube link and play it) Goodbye Mr. Sherman!

Thanks to the Fogbee Spinners
With the better weather and longer days of sunlight I am personally ending the 4th year of Spinning at the YMCA. With over 40 spin sessions since late November I'd say it was a success. Thanks to the loyal Fogbee Spinners who took the time to participate. It was good exercise and great friendship. See you on the road to better health.

Where's Andrew?
Bryan Kortness and I braved the tornadoes, and wind and cold to ride the 220K brevet from Shelbyville, KY based on Andrew's persistent talking up this event. So with 31 riders there, we expected to see one familiar happy face, but he was a definite MIA.
Andrew, you missed a good one!
