David M had a nasty crash about noon today. Apparently hit large rock that blew out his front wheel. Was confused on scene and had seizure at Hendersonville ER. CT scan showed small amount of subarachnoid hemorrhage and he was transferred to Skyline. No surgery planned and he is in Neuro ICU for observation and repeat scans.
As of tonight a complete recovery is expected but keep Dave and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Next Monday (Dec 2'nd) they'll be assisting TDOT in selecting a grant recipients for its $10 Million give-away. It's a "give away" because applicants only need a 5% match. Fogbee featured on Adventure Cyclings Home page
Our very own camera shy Janice is currently featured on the Home page of the Adventure Cycling website. http://www.adventurecycling.org/
Picture taken by David Shumaker on Nashville's Riverfront which is a part of US Bicycle Route 23. She's on scroll number 2. Interestingly, one of the scrolls is for a picture contest. Looks like Dave already won one.

Why the FOGBEE Yellowstone Bike Ride
Every couple of years Aussie Bob comes to America to ride his bike. He plans a 2014 visit and is one of the planners for the FOGBEE Yellowstone trip. He recently sent us this map to explain why he doesn't ride more in Australia.
These were posted on an Australian tourism website, and the answers are the actual
responses by the website officials, who obviously have a great sense of humour (not to mention a low tolerance threshold for cretins!)

Annual Redneck Ride November 16
Annual Redneck Ride November 16th 2013
The Annual Redneck Ride
leaves from The BBQ Pit , 608 N Broadway in Portland TN. This year we will
start at 9 a.m. and venture to Gold City Ky. There is a market stop at mile
~20. This is going to be ~40ish mile round trip for all groups. Route maps will
be added . Following the ride, we feast like coon hounds at the bbq pit, then out
to the gun range for some blasting ! This is the perfect environment if you've
wanted to eat bbq and shoot a gun but always invented an excuse not to eat the bbq. As in years past, we will have a couple Certified Instructors and Range Officers to assist. If you want to be a new shooter and can't wait to pull a trigger, holler at me before hand and we will accommodate you.
- curtis 615 516 9869
A note on the shooting: if you are planning to shoot please do not get out of your car and come to the range with anything loaded. Be sure you're wearing Eye and Ear Protection when you come to the range. If you dont have any please let Bob, Demetrius, Sara or me know and we will get you range ready.

Sunday 11am (Gallatin Square) Shady Cove Marina Breakfast Buffet
For those who can't make Saturday's ride and aren't going to the Titans game...
Let's meander out to Shady Cove Marina for brunch around noon roughly. It's a little over 8miles to ride out that way, the buffet goes until 1pm. With luck, we can catch the beginning of the game on TV there as well while eating.
We'll continue on afterwards for a total of 30miles, finishing by 230p roughly. Just in time to catch the last part of the Titans/Jags game at either the Whoopperwill or Pizza Time Machine, both on the square in Gallatin.
This will be a casual, no drop, weekday rider style ride. Plenty of time for pictures, etc. Think of it as a good recovery ride. Hope to see a handful of you out there! ~ Kaiser
