New PHOTO Tab on Menu bar
As Shutterfly warned on March 27, 2023, they canceled our Share Sites.
They are no longer accessible. I downloaded the photos in Shutterfly Share Sites. All photos are saved in our personal Shutterfly account.
FOGBEES had 5961 photos in 209 albums commencing around 2008. I felt it was a crime to lose that history. I spent a couple of days saving everyone’s photos. All should be safe for the next 18 months, at least.
However, dumping all the photos into one big “hole” is next to useless. As a substitute for Shutterfly’s Website structure, I reorganized these photos into several Google SITE websites.
I added a PHOTO tab on the FOGBEE blog to open the Photo Gallery website. It shows an icon and a hyperlink to websites for eight topics. Each of these websites displays dozens of icons of Shutterfly albums with hundreds of photos.
It took me about 30 hours to reorganize, restructure, and catalog FOGBEE Photos. I found many of our Tours without photos saved in Shutterfly; so I added them. At this time, FOGBEES now has about 132 albums and 9000 photos.

FOGBEE Tee Shirts NOW AVAILABLE
Update: 3/28..we have a good number of shirts ready to send to the printer but I want to clarify a few questions.
- The V-Neck is not available, all V-Necks have been changed to crewneck. (my mistake)
- The number one and number two on the back will be removed.
- Fine "Ole" Gals will be changed to Fine "Ol" Gals (Ol is used chiefly preceding names as a term of affection, admiration, or respect)
- Shirts CAN be changed and ordered to No Printing on the back if you desire (price stays the same), but I need to know ASAP.
Update : 3/22.. as of today we have 18 shirts ordered. The minimum is 24, we need to get at least 6 more shirts ordered before I can place the order. Or there could be an additional charge for less quantities.
Update: There is a $1.00 up charge for v-neck tees, Sorry I forgot to mention. Also XL tees fall into the $16 price.
It has been over 10 years since we have had a FOGBEE Tee Shirt and thought it was about time for another order.
We have been working with The Merch Planet in Hendersonville and came up with a men’s and women’s dry fit Sport-Tek Brand shirt that you may pick your on color(s).
These are excellent quality, lightweight, roomy and highly breathable, these moisture-wicking, value-priced tees feature Pois Charge technology to lock in color and prevent logos from fading. 3.8 ounce, 100% polyester, removable tag for comfort and set-in sleeves.
Shirts (ST350) are available in many colors (see Sanmar link below) and you may choose from V-Neck and Crew neck women’s fit. Once orders are placed with The Merch Planet delivery is expected in 7-12 days.
Payment is due when shirts are picked up at the merchant, therefore I would like payment before pickup;preferably at the time you order or soon after.

MAJOR LOSS (1/25/23) - UPDATE 2/8/23
Today we received notice from Shutterfly that they are canceling their Shared Sites. We have 92 albums having photos dating back to 2004 https://fogbees.shutterfly.com/
Effective March 25, 2023, all Share Sites will be deactivated, and users will no longer have access to Share Sites content.
https://support.shutterfly.com/s/article/share-site-closure
By meaning canceling that means DELETE. That would be a huge loss. We do not have those photos saved elsewhere.
COMMENTS 2/8/23 - Woody, Jeff, and I wanted to save the FOGBEE photos. So I saved 209 Albums with 5951 photos on the Fogbees@gmail.com Shutterfly account. TOM

Bicycle Friendly State
The Bicycle Friendly State℠ program promotes awareness, best practices, and action by state Departments of Transportation and state legislatures.
While each state has its own beautiful scenery, bicycling culture, and weather – the Bicycle Friendly State℠ program is concerned with actions by state decision-makers and helping each state understand how it can play a role in building a Bicycle Friendly America for Everyone.

FOGBEE Archives
In 2013, I started writing a monthly column about bicycles.
Initially, the Indian Lake Peninsula Living editor thought I worked for Bikers Choice. I didn't and never included a byline.
Initially, the editor asked for a couple of paragraphs and photos every month. I ran out of ideas after about a year and Bikers Choice stopped paying its advertisement. Then the editor said, "Write stories about FOGBEES and use my byline."
I found about six years of your activities and photos to share. I did include a few non-bike stories that others requested. But, in mid-2020 COVID changed a lot. The magazine terminated and I was no longer able to ride with the club. I ran out of stories to tell.
My wife kept a copy of most of the magazines. Before I started to throw them to the trashcan, I made a copy of most of these articles and lots of FOGBEE activities and photos. I thought many of you would be interested in seeing some of these old times. Here is a list with hyperlinks that you can click to see each article.

Personal eBike Story
Making Personal Stories for eBikes
FROM CAREY:
Thanks to Ben and Tom for the stories. I’m convinced we need to make this as personal as possible since talking to people about class 1 and class 2 makes their eyes glaze over.

Nashville Greenways Commission
The following highlights to Carey's report are provided by T. Evans. As a owner of an ebike he thinks both the Nashville and TDOT regulations are misguided and lack knowledge of this new technology. He will offer position statement in the next several months. He supports Carey's attempt to educate regulators.

Gary's Favorite Advocacy
Hey guys. I am doing a cyclebar ride on January 22nd at 11:15am for teen court and thought it was a great way to remember my dad.
Please join us for a CycleBar ride to benefit the Tennessee Teen Court Program, Inc. All funds raised go to Tennessee Teen Court Program Inc. for scholarships for graduating Sumner County high school Teen Court seniors.
After payment is complete (PAY HERE), a link will be emailed to you to sign up and reserve your spot through CycleBar! I am hoping to see a lot of you there. Let me know if you’re interested and I can send the information on how to book a bike to ride it is $20 per rider.
Then once the rider has paid I send a cyclebar link to their email and that is how they secure the bike!!!

Winter Workouts
Hi All. I just wanted to check and see if anyone has found a winter strength, condition & endurance workout program that they like and use? If it comes in an app would be perfect. I'm trying to stay off the couch this winter and I'm looking for a workout routine. TIA for any help you can offer. 🏋 🏋 🚴 🚴

Cities for Bikes
I have biked in the Netherlands, Longueuil, and Montreal. The difference is dramatic as People For Bikes listed the best Cities for Bikes. American towns don’t have to match Copenhagen. They might want to start with Memphis.

Nashville eBikes
Are any of your people in Davidson County? The parks department has their e-bike survey on line and they only want residents to fill it out. One thing we’ve found out is that every comparably sized city in the US allows e-bikes. Austin, Denver, Seattle, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Indianapolis, etc. etc.
https://fogebike.blogspot.com/2021/11/nashville-e-bike-survey.html
They didn’t include the important information that class 1 and 2 ebikes are legal and have been for five years. Of course this is all about instituing a ban or they wouldn’t bother with this crap.

Ole Rusty's Last Ride
Last week Ole Rusty's transmission would barely propel him in forward so he got backed up in a convenient position for towing. He took his last ride yesterday to wherever old vans go.

Jeff Kovalski
I have been contacted by Jeff Kovalski’s spouse, he passed away
unexpected in July. Jeff rode with the Fogbees a few times and she wants
to make his cycling gear available to others but has no idea of the
value. I am going to take a look at what she has on Tuesday and will
take pictures of the gear, get sizes, etc. to share with the Fogbees. I
don’t remember Jeff but hopefully some of you will.
Opportunity to pick up some great bike clothes and help out Jeff Kovalski’s widow. Jeff rode a few times with the Fogbees last year but passed away unexpectedly in July of 2021 from a heart attack. Christine Chandler is her name and she can be reached at 615-766-2292. She lives in White House and would like Jeffs cycling gear go to folks in the sport. He thought a lot of the Fogbees and this is what lead her to us. All of the clothing items are like new, size L, and for reference fit me well.

UPDATE: Hasta La Vista Baby Going Away Ride and Party For Lindsay at The Farm, June 12th
UPDATE
Lindsay, our long time favorite visitor from the north is moving back to Canada. Something about a huge promotion-taking over the entire Canadian operation for her company. Trudeau -watch out! (Actually I think there was an issue with her visa and they are asking her to leave.) Either way, she is going to be missed. She has become a part of our FOGBEE Family and a big part of the Knake/Camplin Family. Her best friend, my grandson Ender, will surely miss her.
